Frank's BBQ
Pictures, Recipes, and More

Over the years I’ve used many different types of grills and smokers, from the cheapest to the most expensive. I learned early on my Dads Weber, and he always told me “Don’t fix it, if it isn’t broken!” I have been using Weber Grills and Smokers for years now and personally, I don’t think it gets any better than Weber. I want you to know that I’m not an official spokes person for Weber, I just think it’s an excellent product.
I’ve never really met much BBQ that I didn’t like, and I’m certainly not a BBQ snob. We all have our own way of doing things and I’m open to it all. I don’t use a gas grill. It has it place in world of grilling. I prefer the flavor of smoke and there are ways of achieving this with gas. Using a small metal pan with some water-soaked wood chips on the lava rocks will work. For me, the basic is using charcoal then adding water-soaked wood chips or chunks right onto the coals. Of course if you have the time, using just wood chunks or logs is great although it requires some practice.
